Chocolate não consegue fazer canto vivo — e é nisso que este produto se resolve.
Ao endurecer dentro de um molde, o chocolate encolhe ligeiramente. Por isso toda letra em relevo numa peça de chocolate tem a borda levemente arredondada, macia, nunca a aresta seca de algo cortado ou gravado. Reproduzir esse arredondamento é o que impede a peça de parecer plástico.
No Choco Biscuit ao Leite isso era o ponto central: o logo precisava ser perfeitamente legível e, ao mesmo tempo, parecer desmoldado. Nítido demais vira gravação a laser; macio demais e o desenho desaparece. O ajuste fica num intervalo estreito, e ele muda conforme o ângulo da luz.
Há ainda dois materiais encostados um no outro. Embaixo, o biscoito assado: poroso, fosco, com a borda ondulada característica. Em cima, a placa de chocolate: lisa e reflexiva. A linha onde os dois se encontram é onde o olho procura o erro primeiro — e onde a peça convence ou não.
O último quadro mostra as mesmas composições em clay render: geometria, sem material e sem cor. É onde a forma é resolvida antes de qualquer acabamento entrar.

Chocolate cannot hold a sharp edge — and that is where this product is won or lost.
As it sets inside a mould, chocolate shrinks slightly. Every embossed letter on a chocolate piece therefore carries a softly rounded edge, never the crisp arris of something cut or engraved. Reproducing that softness is what keeps the piece from reading as plastic.
On Choco Biscuit ao Leite that was the central problem: the logo had to be perfectly legible and, at the same time, look demoulded. Too crisp and it becomes laser engraving; too soft and the artwork disappears. The right setting sits in a narrow range, and that range shifts with the angle of the light.
There are also two materials meeting each other. Below, the baked biscuit: porous, matte, with its characteristic scalloped edge. Above, the chocolate slab: smooth and reflective. The line where the two meet is where the eye looks for the mistake first — and where the piece either convinces or does not.
The final frame shows the same compositions as clay renders: geometry, with no material and no colour. That is where form gets resolved, before any finish comes in.
