3D Food CGI for CPG Packaging | I create the image photography can’t | Print-ready · SKU-scalable · Screen to Shelf
Crafting the impossible, perfectly real photograph. Hyper-realistic 3D food imagery that creates desire, drives sales, and wins at the shelf.
For over 20 years, I’ve been building images that food photography can’t capture.
My name is Thiago Christo. I’m a 3D Food Artist and CPG Visual Strategist based in Brazil, serving brands across 10+ countries — from the US and Europe to North Africa and Latin America.
I didn’t start in 3D. I started inside advertising agencies — working alongside art directors, food photographers, and print finalizers. I was in the room when the brief became a layout. I was at the print shop when the proof came off the press. I understand what a clay render means to a packaging designer, what “it looks different in real life” costs a brand at launch, and what the gráfica needs from a file to avoid surprises.
My strongest skill has never been generating ideas — it’s executing them. An art director with a rough sketch. A product developer with a texture description. A brand owner with a vision but no final image. They all speak different languages. I speak all three. I take what exists in someone’s head and make it exist in the world — print-ready, shelf-ready, exactly as intended.
That background shapes everything I do. The tools I use today — CGI, simulation, procedural texturing — are powerful. But it’s the 20 years of understanding the chain that makes the difference between a beautiful image and the right image.
I work across the full production chain: from R&D briefs and food engineering specs, through agency concepting and art direction, to print-ready file delivery and shelf performance. When an art director has a sketch, a food engineer has a texture description, or a client has a concept that started as an AI exploration and needs to become the actual product — I translate all of it into geometry, light, and pixel-exact consistency.
I’ve built visual assets for campaigns that reached 73 million people, and for brands acquired by Ferrero, Hero Group, and Valeo Foods / Bain Capital. My 3D work contributed to the Amendoísmo campaign for Elma Chips (PepsiCo) — a project recognized at the 49th Clube de Criação, Prêmios Lusófonos, and TikTok Ad Awards, where the agency SOWHAT led the creative work and my work contributed to that result.
What separates my work:
- Absolute control — full 3D mesh with clay render deliverables for client revision at every stage
- SKU scalability — 20+ variants from a single base asset, 100% consistent light, angle, and appetite appeal
- Print-ready by design — files built for flexography, rotogravure, and CMYK from day one
- Pre-production CGI — I build the visual before the product exists, translating R&D specs into pixel-exact geometry
- Screen to Shelf — my work doesn’t end at the render. It ends on the shelf.
I work as a strategic partner — not a technical executor.
If you need imagery that performs at the shelf and in the market, let’s talk.
